Ciara wins at Clogher Valley
07/30/09
Ciara, at her second show of the year, went to Clogher Valley show one of the premier shows on the calender. There were a large gathering of quality stock from as far away as Athlone and Dublin to compete in the normal show classes but also for the NPS summer Championships. This was the final of a summer of qualifying shows held throughout the North.
First up was the mares 4 years old and over class, the judge admitted herself that it was a close call between the top two mares. In the end Ciara was second to Francis & Deirde O'Reilly's multi show champion Glencarrig Lucy. This followed through into the mare Championship, with Ciara taking the Reserve Championship. This qualified Ciara for the NPS mixed M&M 4 year old and over Championship to join the other show champions from all M&M large breeds. Again a close decision placed her 3rd Reserve with the judge being so pleased with her she was awarded a Best of Breed special rosette. Another great day for Ciara and well she deserved it, she showed beautifully and behaved impeccably as usual.
