Local news:
Summer news:
Pippin (Loguestown Pearl's Piper) has been sold to a lovely family from Stewartstown. We wish them all well.
Ciara is connemara champion at Clougher Valley Show
Spring news:
Spring has been good to us here at Loguestown, we have had a few departures, a success and one very special arrival.
26/05/2007:
Misty was well placed in three classes at Ballymena show including third in a Connemara young stock class. This was our first outing of the season and was a great day; she behaved well as usual and came home well rewarded.

Misty now has a full sister which we are looking forward to seeing.
Ciara has come off her winter break really well and has gone to Murphy’s Oscar standing at Philip McMahon’s stud in Cavan.
Pearl is also there to be covered by Murphy Rebel.
Rosie is with John & Sharyn Alexander to be covered by (yes you have guessed it) Blue Rajah perhaps in his final season which is a great loss personally to us and, more widely, to the Irish Draught population.
Malin has been a real treasure and a real God send for us all. She reminds us that horses are not machines but living breathing animals, with minds of their own.
Malin starred in the family pony ring at Ballymena winning two classes and taking the Reserve Championship.
Loguestown Roseanna has been sold to a new Irish Draught breeder in Donegal. Anna will be missed; she has been part of the family here at Loguestown these past eight years and gave a lot of good service not to mention amusement. We wish Norman well with her and may they have many years together.
Charlie (Loguestown Warrior) has been sold to Co. Fermanagh, we wish Richard & Janet success with their new charge.
We are really pleased that Misty (Loguestown Misty Morn) is now a fully registered Class1 Connemara mare. She behaved herself really well in a very trying three hour wait for the inspection team to grace us with their presence!
Rosie (Moorspark Leading Lady) had a super filly foal by Blue Rajah she is called Rianna born 13/04/2007. Rianna is a chestnut filly but will probably be grey.
Pippin has grown into a super colt, a real athlete as his breeding would predict.
Archie (Loguestown Blue Moon) has found a new home in a top Irish Draught breeding yard in County Tipperary. He was accepted for the Irish Draught colt foal retention scheme in February 2007
Anna (Loguestown Roseanna) has been sold to a new breeder in Donegal and we wish Norman well with his new charge.
Three of our home bred stock have found new homes: Leah has gone to a new breeder in Donegal, Abbey (Loguestown Blue Bayou) to a new breeder in Kildare and Rory (Loguestown Blue Admiral) has found a new home in Galway.
International news:
Loguestown Classic’s colt, Padi's Classic Mountain by Mountain Pearl, has been passed
as an RID stallion in America . Also her filly, Padi’s Classic Reunion, by Mountain Pearl
has been passed as an RID mare and won the young mare class at the South East Region
Show in Virginia. Loguestown Classic was home bred and is by Annaghadown Star ex.
Loahean.
Rocky went to Martha Denver’s Whispering Pointe Farm from where he was
meticulously prepared and presented for the RID inspections at the National Show. We are
very proud to report that he passed with flying colours and he is now a full RID stallion
named Loguestown Blue’s Man.
Location
|
Our farm is located near Portrush, a small sea-side resort on the beautiful North Antrim
Coast of Ireland near to the world famous Giants Causeway and The Bushmills Distillery.
The scenery is stunning, the beaches and inlets have soft fine sand and are deserted most
of the year. Mountains and forests are close-by making this area an ideal base for a holiday
to remember. | |
